General Consulting Director

Overview: Evinco Strategies is a nationwide full-service consulting firm for Democratic and progressive candidates and issues. We are looking for a General Consulting Director to provide leadership to the General Consulting Team and high level support and integration with other departments within the firm.

Position: Full-time

Location: Remote –– applications welcome from anywhere in the United States.

Compensation: $92,650 annually with cost of living and performance-based increases available.

Position Breakdown:

  • 30% supervision and mentorship

  • 10% internal work and professional development

  • 20% production

  • 25% internal/external client management

  • 10% data collection and analysis

  • 5% administrative tasks

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership for the General Consulting Team including running department meetings, assigning clients, and determining training needs.

  2. Collaborate with the Policy, Finance, and Digital teams as needed on campaign strategy, creative problem solving, and client management.

  3. Develop strategy in the realm of platform development, issue advocacy, field, advertising, communications, operations, and transition services for clients.

  4. Assist with implementation of plans in accordance with client contract including, but not limited to: budgeting, copywriting, editing, graphic creation, and script writing for websites, walk pieces, handouts, press releases, polls, ads, mail pieces, op-eds, talking points, speeches, and delegation of these and related tasks.

  5. Creation and maintenance of client relationships from the onboarding of new clients and ongoing presence at their team meetings to moving goals forward and troubleshoot issues.

  6. Serve as client spokesperson in meetings and in public and liaison with the media when necessary.

  7. Help vet and manage appropriate vendors including: databases, pollsters, graphic artists, printers, fundraisers, and speciality consultants. Work with chosen vendors from projects' inception to final product to ensure the quality of work.

  8. Utilize a wide range of campaign and communications tools to create, publish, and monitor deliverables.

  9. Collaborate with the Digital, Policy, and Finance Teams to ensure campaign goals are progressing appropriately and meeting the contractual obligations of the client.

  10. Collaborate with the Partnerships & Marketing team to: create and publish client, policy, and candidate resources for Evinco’s Circle community (SOAR) and other marketing deliverables as appropriate.

  11. Maintain and improve tracking mechanisms to measure Evinco’s general consulting efforts and workflows, and reports to Executive Leadership as necessary.

  12. Help maintain and manage tracking and reporting methods for clients and the General Consulting Department, including data collection and audit preparation.

  13. Assist in hiring, training, and managing on-the-ground campaign leadership teams as needed.

  14. Recruit, hire, train, and manage the General Consulting team. Serve as a mentor and provide relevant support to the Intern and Fellowship programs.

  15. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated history of leadership, management, and/or mentorship in the political space spanning a minimum of 2 years.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and G-Suite programs, Votebuilder and/or PDI, Canva and/or Photoshop. (Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Forms, etc.)

  • Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in visual and audio mediums.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with political stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Multidisciplinary exposure within the political space.

  • Strong data collection, analysis, and strategic planning experience.

Recruitment Timeline:
